Cyber Defense Wire reports on CloudBrink. Cloudbrink, based in Sunnyvale, California, has introduced firewall-as-a-service (FWaaS) to its zero-trust access solution, claiming to be the first to offer granular security controls to the user edge for comprehensive endpoint protection in the hybrid workplace. The company addresses limitations in traditional firewalls, emphasizing the need for protection at the user level in today’s work-from-anywhere environment. Cloudbrink’s FWaaS allows admins to set granular controls based on static and dynamic properties of end-users and their devices, improving management and control without compromising productivity. Scheduled releases include reporting capabilities for anomaly detection and dynamic properties for device compliance. FWaaS functionality and IPsec connectivity are bundled with the Cloudbrink service from December 2023, providing high-performance connectivity for the modern hybrid workforce.
