How much does NordLayer cost per month?

Table of Contents

NordLayer is priced per user per month, with a minimum of five users on every self-service plan. As of October 2026, published prices for annual billing are as follows.

NordLayer plan pricing

  • Lite: $8 per user per month. Shared gateways in 40+ countries, web protection, MFA, SSO and always-on VPN, but no dedicated IP.
  • Core: $11 per user per month. Adds Virtual Private Gateways, IP allowlisting, cloud firewall, device posture security, split tunneling and site-to-site connectors.
  • Premium: $14 per user per month. Adds more gateway locations, custom configuration and premium support.
  • Enterprise: from $6 per user per month for organizations with 200 or more seats, negotiated with sales.

Monthly billing costs roughly 20% more than these annual rates, and VAT or sales tax is added on top. Prices change, so always confirm on NordLayer’s pricing page.

Hidden costs to factor in

The headline price is not the full picture. Core and Premium require at least one server with a dedicated IP at $40 per month, and many organizations need one per region. Add-ons such as CrowdStrike endpoint protection ($2 to $9 per device), user provisioning and dark web monitoring are billed separately.

A 25-person team on Core with two dedicated servers therefore pays around $355 per month before tax. When comparing quotes, include gateway costs and look at total cost per productive user, including any performance gap on VDI and video, rather than licence price alone.
