Cisco does not publish list prices for Cisco Secure Access, the platform replacing Umbrella SIG and DNS. Its ordering guide states that pricing “is determined dynamically according to the quantity ordered and term.” What Cisco does publish is how licensing works, which helps you compare like for like.

How Cisco Secure Access is licensed

Licensing factorCisco Secure Access
UnitPer covered user
PackagesSecure Access Essentials, Secure Access Advantage, Secure Access DNS Defense
Term lengths12, 36 or 60 months
Minimum users50 per billing SKU for Internet and Private Access packages; 1 for DNS Defense

For Umbrella customers, Cisco maps existing subscriptions to new ones. For example, Umbrella DNS Security Essentials moves to Secure Access DNS Essentials, and Umbrella SIG Advantage moves to Secure Internet Access Advantage.

How Cloudbrink pricing works

Cloudbrink Personal SASE is sold as a per-user, consumption-based SaaS service. Because it is 100% software, there are no appliances or VPN servers to buy, host or maintain.

What to compare beyond the license

  • •Minimum user counts and contract length
  • •Hardware or infrastructure you still need to run
  • •The time your team spends deploying and supporting users
  • •Whether the features you need are in the base package or cost extra
